The Bible Program Guide

Experience J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth stories through an immersive, chronological one-year guide

The readings in this plan are arranged chronologically.

This plan has several components which you can pick and choose according to your interests. They are designed to enhance your experience of the Bible by engaging the five senses. This is not a Bible study, but an invitation to enjoy the Bible in a delightful way. Character Cards:

I will list the major Bible characters as they are introduced, along with suggestions of information you may want to include on your own set of Character Cards. You may want to look up illustrations (or draw your own!) of each character’s portrait and create a baseball-card style reference for each character, or simply list their name(s) and a few quick facts on an index card. You may want to create cards for all the major Bible characters, or just a few. You may want to store your cards alphabetically on a keyring, or in an index card file box. These cards can be a helpful reference as you read through the Bible.

Poetry:

Poems related to the reading topic for the day.

Food:

Recipes inspired by the day’s reading.
